A timeline, not a wall of rules
See what happens now, at booking, before the vet visit, and on travel day.
Private iPhone testing
Tailside is a pet travel planning app for iPhone. It turns country rules, airline policies, paperwork, and every pet’s details into one calm plan for your trip.
The public App Store release is not available yet. The interactive preview uses sample data and planning rules still under qualification.
From “Can we go?” to one clear plan
Tailside checks the complete path first, then shows only what deserves your attention now.
Add the places, dates, and way you hope to travel. Keep multiple trips without mixing their requirements.
Choose the dogs and cats coming along. Each pet gets an independent eligibility and evidence check.
Keep identity, vaccination records, measurements, forms, and proof attached to the right pet.
Compare policy-compatible airlines, see why they rank, and know exactly what still needs confirmation.
A calmer product model
Pet travel has dozens of rules. Your screen should not. Tailside turns the whole trip into a simple timeline, keeps completed work quiet, and reveals the exact rule only when you ask.
See what happens now, at booking, before the vet visit, and on travel day.
Open plain-language detail, the rule maker, its source, and the evidence used.
Upload, parse, review, and save each record to Olive, Poppi, or another pet.
Who makes this rule? Each check names the departure authority, arrival country, return country, operating airline, or Tailside product rule.
What you can inspect: The plain-language requirement, effective dates, source link, affected pets, evidence on file, and what must happen next.
A complete timeline, visible before you upload anything.
Built around the whole household
Plans stay trip-specific. Proof stays pet-specific. The next action stays human-sized.
Create, switch, and update separate plans without losing the history of either.
Multi-pet by design
Add or remove pets from a trip just like travelers. Each result explains who can travel, how, and what is still missing.

Save identity, microchip, vaccination, health, measurement, kennel, and travel evidence. OCR helps extract fields, and you review every result before it counts.
Source-backed answers
The app explains the requirement in plain language first. Country, airline, return, and product sources remain one tap away for peace of mind.
Transportation fit
Compare airline policies against each pet’s age, size, route, kennel, and permitted travel mode. See eligible options first, with the reason for every ranking.
Save body and kennel measurements, use guided camera measurement on iPhone, and find compatible kennel candidates.
Transportation planning
“Pet-friendly” is not a decision. Tailside checks the policy against the route and every pet, separates what is eligible from what is not, then explains why the best options rise to the top.
Exact flight inventory, aircraft, weather restrictions, price, and pet space must be confirmed separately. Booking assistance is a later product stage.
Both pets have a permitted travel path under the normalized policy preview.

Olive’s PassportMy Pet Passport
Upload a record once, check what was read, and keep it connected to the exact pet and requirement it supports.
Never silently accepted. You review parsed fields against the original.
Never mixed across pets. Each record is linked to one pet and one requirement.
Never a mystery. See which source and rule the evidence satisfies.
First testing release
The first release covers dogs and cats flying within California, within Oregon, or between the two, in either direction. Every state and airline rule links to its official source and shows the date it was last checked.
This is a testing scope, not a claim that every route, airline, or rule is ready for public reliance today. More states and international trips come later.
Private by default
Tailside is designed to keep pet profiles, trip plans, measurements, and uploaded documents private. The preview includes data export, individual document deletion, and complete workspace deletion controls.

Yes. Tailside is designed for multiple trips, multiple dogs and cats, and different pet combinations on each trip. Every pet keeps a separate passport, measurements, records, and readiness result.
The current product can compare normalized airline policies and prepare the information needed to confirm pet travel. Live dated inventory, aircraft checks, prices, airline-confirmed pet space, and in-app booking are separate capabilities that are not yet publicly available.

No. Tailside organizes planning information and evidence. Final entry, veterinary, flight, and pet-space decisions remain with the relevant government authority, veterinarian, and operating airline.
Records remain private to the workspace. OCR may extract useful fields, but the pet parent reviews them before they count as evidence. The preview includes export and deletion controls. See the privacy policy for current details.
